This tiny home was going viral on social media as of late so I thought I would share the details here. It may be a good option for those looking to become a home owner and already have some land to plot this thing on.
This Getaway Pad Tiny Home is selling for $43,832 at Home Depot. It is pre-assembled to be make installation easier. So, if you have some land you are looking to put a home on, just have a concrete slab ready and this should be a relatively hassle free installation.
The home is 540 sq. ft. with a length of 32 feet, width of 17 feet, and height of 19 feet. So there is plenty of room for a single person or couple looking to get into their first tiny home.
The upper deck shown in the rendering is an optional upgrade which can add space for a guest cabin.
For comparison, Tesla supposedly has a pre-fab tiny house that you may soon be able to purchase for around $50,000. Elon Musk makes it his residence according to several news sources.
So this Home Depot tiny house would technically be the cheaper option at $43,832. Delivery would take about a month and a half with 10 houses available. Not sure delivery is included, so consider that cost as well.
There are definitely more tiny house options (available to you locally) that would be cheaper, but being able to buy one at Home Depot seems interesting.
Let me know your thoughts on this tiny house kit available at Home Depot in the comments below.
